Every experience in our lives becomes a memory. A memory that not only exists in your thoughts, but is also anchored in your body on a physical level. When we find ourselves in a threatening or frightening situation, our nervous system reacts with fight, flight or freeze. If the pent-up energy (adrenaline) is not acted upon, such as shaking or running, this energy stagnates in our body. This energy, associated with negative experiences, is called 'trauma' for short. Sometimes these traumas can lead to unconscious patterns of behaviour that affect our everyday lives.
Conscious Connected Breathing is a breathing method that can help you access these physical memories and bring about a 'release' of the stagnant energy. In a Breathwork session you are guided into this breathing method, which after a certain time leads to a meditative state. The body is enriched with oxygen and your active thinking gives way to your body intelligence, which can lead you into the depths of yourself.
Johanna is a breath coach, yoga teacher, Wataflow therapist, energy and aura reader. Her work is specifically designed to hold (trauma) sensitive and inclusive spaces where boundaries are welcomed and respected and everyone is welcome.
Breathwork is for everyone. Your body is your responsibility. However, working with connected breath can be a physically demanding practice, so in case of pre-existing medical conditions, consult with medical professionals.
Costs
The workshop costs 45€; members pay 40€.
